Purple PE Hoodie with logo or a plain black zip up top or hoodie type jumper (no branded logos or designs)
Black trainers or plimsolls
When pupils attend out of school PE competitions they will be provided with a full tracksuit and t-shirt for the event. This will be given out at school and will need to be returned to school after the event. Children will need to wear their own plain black shorts, jogging bottoms or leggings and trainers for these events.
Children are asked to come to school dressed for P.E. on their P.E. day which you will be informed of.
Footwear:
The school wants all children to grow into healthy adults. We believe that it is dangerous for children to wear shoes that have platform soles, high heels or open toes, so we do not allow children to wear such shoes in our school. Neither do we allow children to wear trainers to school; this is because we think that this footwear is appropriate for sport or for leisurewear, but is not in keeping with the smart appearance of a school uniform. Pupils should therefore wear black shoes. Black boots are permitted in the Winter time.
Jewellery and Make-Up:
For Health and Safety reasons children with pierced ears may only wear one small plain smooth round stud in each ear. Children should not wear studs in their noses, tongues or lips etc.
A plain, and appropriately sized, proper wrist watch may be worn. Smart watches are not permitted to be worn by the children.
Earrings and watches must be not worn when doing PE. Any jewellery to be worn in school is the direct responsibility of the parent and child. If jewellery needs to be removed during the day, it is the responsibility of the child or the parent to remove it and look after it.
Teachers are unable to remove jewellery or look after it. Plasters over ears may not be worn as they do not protect the ears from damage if an earring is contained within them.
Parents intending to have their child’s ears pierced must do so at the start of the summer holidays as children are not allowed to do any physical activity (as above) wearing earrings or with plasters over their ears.
Make-up in any form is not permitted. Children may wear un-coloured lip balms when they have dry or sore lips.
